 If you are deemed as a great fit for the role, you will be offered the role at Ciena and will be provided with instructions on next steps.

What is a recruitment scam and how can I identify one?

A recruitment scam occurs when individuals fraudulently claim to represent Ciena or its recruitment agencies, often offering a job opportunity and asking for payment or personal information. You can identify these scams by spotting non-Ciena email addresses, poor English language use, and requests for payment.

Where can I find legitimate job opportunities with Ciena?

All our current vacancies are listed on the Ciena Careers webpage: www.ciena.com/careers.html. Any successful job offer from Ciena will only follow a thorough and formal recruitment procedure.

What should I do if I come across a recruitment scam?

If you encounter a recruitment scam, do not respond or share your personal or financial information. Instead, send an email to TA@ciena.com and contact your local law enforcement agency with all the information you have from the sender.

Will I need a degree to be able to work at Ciena?

It depends on the level and nature of the role you're applying for. If a degree is a requirement, it will be indicated on the job description. However, candidates who don't have a degree may still be considered for one of our professional vacancies if they can demonstrate substantial relevant experience.

Does Ciena offer relocation packages?

It depends on the level and nature of the role you're applying for. If required, we do offer relocation packages for successful candidates. Do note that some legislations apply for certain locations.
