Global Flexible Paid Time Off
It is important to take time off from work to refresh and recharge. Our Global Flexible PTO program provides uncapped time off, allowing you to rest when you need to, take a well-being day or deal with an emergency without fear of exhausting your leave balance.

We're committed to empowering you to create your own outcomes. It's about working efficiently, smartly, and having each other's back to allow time away from work.

Part-Time Work
Part-Time work is an option that you can use if you are looking to reduce your work schedule if you are:

  • Going back to school
  • Having a shift in your personal life
  • Planning for retirement, etc.

Global Family Leave
We offer global family leave options to support you throughout various life stages. 

New mothers receive a minimum of 18 weeks off at full pay, along with the option of up to 6 months of phased-in return to work at full pay.
New fathers and adoptive parents are provided 10 weeks paid time off.

You also get paid time off if you are caring for a spouse, child, or parent with a serious health condition.

Volunteer Time Off
Ciena Cares is designed to support your passion for giving back to your community. You can take your Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to give your time to support the community during working hours.
